We live in the time period of watching and listening to everything on social media. In fact, the majority do believe in what is presented on social media. How credible the news and media is has been questioned, especially since the quarantine began. People are relying more on observing information in the media, which is when a thought came to my mind. Is this information a hundred percent trustworthy? Or is it what the government wants us to see or hear?
My idea of drawing Covid-19 and media together is shown by applying symbols like dialog box, video taping, and perspective. I am going to stick with realism painting, but my pieces also have some touches of surrealism in it. I am trying to achieve my goal of showing the struggle between myself and what I am hearing from the media and how I don’t know what to do. I got this idea from my experience from both what I heard and read,  and what my parents have been telling me about what they have seen on the news. I know it is tough for them that they can’t reach out to me and help since they are far away in China. Their worries become a part of the pressure and struggle for me to think about what is really going  out there. Which is why I chose to paint my idea out.
