PROJECT TITLE: Giant Apple |
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: I made use of the contrast between the size of a real apple and the size of a miniature furniture to create a series of humorous photographs about the huge apples. My final project is an extension of the art works of apple that I have completed in my college life. In some photography course I have completed a series of surreal photographs, which are artificially synthesized with Adobe Photoshop. However, for the project, I will set up the surrealistic situation in the lighting studio and minimize the use of Adobe Photoshop. |
OUTCOMES:
l Surreal photograph series without compound imaging. l Extension of my previous series about apple. l Create miniature items and use them as a theme for surreal photographs. l High saturation and vivid colors and contrasts using lighting studio. |
METHODS AND MATERIALS:
First, I made miniature furniture and other objects of finger size. The contrast between the size of the real apple and miniature objects makes the apples looks huge and giant. For a vivid, saturated color and a brilliant contrast, I shot my work in the lighting studio. Also, in order to create a surrealistic atmosphere, I made adjustments to ensure more contrast after photographing. This makes the photographs look more like a painting. |
