Scenarios

Scenario 1: Samantha needs to study for her final:

Samantha has a Psychology 220 final to prepare for after her shift on Tuesday at the Melville Library Starbucks. It’s around 1 pm so she knows that the Library will be crowded and noisy. She’d prefer to find a quiet place on campus immediately that is at least a 10-minute walking distance. She doesn’t know where the best place to go at this time would be as most students are out having lunch. She opens StonyStudyGuide and takes the quiz. The quiz allows her to choose types of areas she would most prefer. She goes on to select the following: Quiet Place, with an Outlet, individual study, and a formal area. The Quiz results surprise her by recommending the Music Library! This location matches her preferences the most and is not too busy at this hour. She decides to give it a try and is able to find a seat quickly, and is able to study for her final for several hours.

Scenario 2: Tom and his group need to work on their project:

Tom has a group project and would like to quickly find a space to study with his group on a Thursday afternoon. He knows that most places with tables in the Library and around campus are probably crowded and just wants to find an open table with outlets so they can all work on their ISE 305 project at the same time. He opens StonyStudyGuide and takes the quiz quickly by saying he wouldn’t mind a noisy or quiet place, he wants to have outlets, a space appropriate for group study and doesn’t mind if it is a lounge or formal area. The quiz results suggest Frey 218 Room A.
