Principal Investigator:

Ulas Sunar, Ph.D. (ulas.sunar-AT-stonybrook.edu). Dr. Sunar is a SUNY Empire Innovation Professor in the Dept. of Biomedical Engineering at Stony Brook University-SUNY. He received his Ph.D. in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Pennsylvania, where his research focused on diffuse optical imaging. His doctoral work was conducted with Dr. Arjun G. Yodh and Dr. Britton Chance among pioneers in diffuse optical and functional near-infrared spectroscopy. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Physics from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkiye.
