The MADL is the New York State reference laboratory for shellfish disease and therefore diagnostic services are an integral part of our activities. Hundreds of samples are processed yearly in the framework of our health monitoring and diagnostic activities for state and local governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations and the aquaculture industry.
