The meme power behind this film is very strong even over a decade later. The fact so many people can find so much enjoyment in this film even today is an amazing feat by the film. I don’t know how long the fandom of this film will last, but honestly, I hope it continues to the eventual heat death of our universe.

This film is one of the very first to take a fairy tale story and tell it with a twist. The voiceover work from many of the actors, such as Michael Myers and Eddie Murphy, is outstanding. The different takes that this movie had on traditional fairy tale stories was, and still is, very interesting to say the least. The story of the film is very good and has a twist that on 1st viewing many people would never guess, with an All-Star cast to help drive this well-made story well there’s no real loss with this one really. The animation of the film even today is still well done and even after multiple viewings, people might find jokes they didn’t understand on prior viewings. The story still holds up even today and that’s a commendable feat honestly because a lot of films don’t hold up that over time but this one is universal really, we’re all told fairy tales as children And any person really can enjoy this film whether they are young or old. Of course, we can’t forget to mention the iconic band that is Smash Mouth with all their hit music from this movie, all one of them.

This film takes an outstanding 8/10 rating from me and a strong recommendation for everyone really. And don’t forget, only shooting stars break the mold.
