I am Ridhwan Mohammad, a senior majoring in Biomedical Engineering at Stony Brook University and currently enrolled in the 5 years BE/MS accelerated bachelors masters program. I am currently a research assistant working under the guidance of Dr.Eric Brouzes’ in his lab of Droplet Microfluidics.

I have always been fascinated about the vast scope of Biomedical Engineering in its capabilities of improving health care and medical technologies that can improve human health in so many different ways. This field has allowed me to explore my two major interests, medicine and engineering.

Stony Brook University has been a great fit for me because of the diverse opportunities it can provide. Not only is it a great research university but it’s diverse student population has allowed me to meet and interact with people from all over the world. The reason why this is important to me is because I truly enjoy meeting new people and learning about different cultures and traditions.

In my free time, I love playing soccer, taking part in any sort of adventurous activities and travelling . I am also involved in various Community service work both on and off campus. I realized that helping people makes me happy. And I strongly believe that everyone should do whatever makes them happy as long asĀ it does no harm to others.
