Welcome to MAR 388 / MAR 537 Tropical Marine Ecology, a winter term travel course from the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences at Stony Brook University.

Each January, a group of students and faculty travels to the Discovery Bay Marine Laboratory in Jamaica to study the ecology and conservation of a Caribbean reef ecosystem.  This field-based credit-earning course is available to any student, not just Stony Brook students.
