This artist published a book titled “Where Children Sleep” and I feel the layout of it is very effective and was the inspiration behind my layout idea.
In the book, he shows the child with a blurb underneath their portrait that lists where they are, how old they are, and what their life is like in a few sentences. Then on the left is a large picture of their bedroom. It gives the effect of learning about the subject before experiencing their life, visually.
