Meetings

All regularly scheduled meetings of the Council are held on Tuesdays at 2:00pm at the office of the Division of Marine Resources, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, 123 Kings Park Blvd. Kings Park, NY 11754.  Any change in meeting dates, times or location will be posted on this Web Page. Those planning to attend a Council meeting are encouraged to check this Web Page beforehand for any such changes.

Below are the dates of the regularly-scheduled meetings of the Marine Resources Advisory Council in Calendar 2024:

  • April 9th – 2:00 p.m.
  • May 7th – 2:00 p.m.
  • July 9th – CANCELLED
  • September 17th – 2:00 p.m.
  • November 12th – 2:00 p.m.

All meetings will take place at the DEC Offices, 123 Kings Park Blvd. Kings Park, NY 11754 at 2:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted. It is best to check the MRAC web page prior to a meeting for any possible changes and the agenda.

2018-07-10 MRAC Meeting CANCELLED!

The focal point of the Tuesday July 10th meeting was going to be centered around the MRIP data​, which is unfortunately not yet available. Jim and Mike thought it best to cancel this month’s meeting. The MRIP discussion will pick up at the September meeting.

Please remember the day and date were changed to accommodate the representative from MRIP.  The day/date is Monday, September 24th – 2:00 p.m. at the DEC Offices.

The next ​​Marine Resources Advisory Council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 8th. Since the Legislative Review meeting was cancelled because of the Governor’s Press Announcement, the ​B​ills that were to be discussed has been added to May’s meeting.

Long Island Expressway (LIE, I-495) to exit 62 (Nicolls Road/County Route 97). North on Nicolls Road for about 9 miles, crossing Route 347 to 2nd traffic light north of 347. Make a left at light (South Entrance) onto South Drive. At the next light, make a right turn onto Marburger Drive. Less than 500’ turn right into Marine Sciences entrance, and immediately bear right. Follow the road to the School of Marine & Atmospheric Sciences and Endeavour Hall. You can park your car in the lot between Discovery & Endeavour Halls.
