Diversity in Neuroscience

On April 18th, Neuroscience Axis wishes to uphold the standard of Stony Brook University as one of the most diverse schools in the top 100 universities in the nation with a celebration of Diversity in Neuroscience. The goal of our event is to demonstrate the impacts that socioeconomic, racial and ethnic backgrounds play in career advancement. With the support of esteemed Stony Brook faculty and alumni, we hope to demonstrate to current aspiring students the difficulties that may arise along many career paths and the ways to overcome those difficulties and succeed in a number of different fields.

 

Neuroscience and Psi Chi

Neuroscience Axis will be hosting Urszula Zalewski from the Career Center as she discusses important details about the incoming Healthcare Job Fair. If you’d like to learn about the employers and how to properly pitch yourself at the event, this presentation is for you! We will also, in collaboration with Psi Chi, give individual resume suggestions and helpful tips to prepare you th best we can!

 

Neuroscience and Forensics

Come join the Neuroscience Axis and Forensics Club in a discussion about forensic psychology and neuroscience! Learn about the careers within forensic neuroscience, and try your hand at solving some forensic mysteries!

 

 

Science Of Love

Spread some love and knowledge with some brain chemistry on Valentine’s Day! Come to our second General body meeting this Wednesday, February 14th, to learn about some interesting research and to spread some love with arts and crafts!

 

 

 

First GBM of the Semester- A game of Family Feud!

Hey everyone,
Although we will not be at the involvement fair, Neuroscience Axis is going to have our first meeting of the semester this Wednesday (2/7). During this meeting, we will lay out an outline for the rest of the semester and play a game of neuroscience-based Family Feud!
