Brain Awareness Week
What is Brain Awareness Week?
The Neuroscience Axis is partners with the Dana Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that aims to bring awareness to the importance of brain research and brain disorder stigmatization.
Each year, we participate in Brain Awareness Week, which aims to teach the local communities around the nation about neuroscience and brain health. Each year we travel to local high schools and middle schools to teach neuroanatomy, neural circuitry and more.
Why should I be a part of Brain Awareness Week?
For Stony Brook students, Brain Awareness Week is a great way to get experience in teaching neuroscience. For younger elementary, middle, and high school students, our program offers great insight to the field and opportunities for neuroscience!
