Sagar Lamba – Founder

Hey everyone!

My name is Sagar Lamba, and I am the founder and the former President of Stony Brook Science Olympiad.

I first got involved in Science Olympiad when I was in middle school, and I have competed until I graduated high school. My heavy involvement in high school is what caused me to pursue a career in a scientific field. I started this organization as a way to give back to the community that grew my love for science.

Our group started out with just a few of us volunteering at a local competition. I have now seen it grow into an organization that not only co-hosts two invitational competitions, but also runs a mentorship program where we are able to work with and guide middle school science students.

I hope that as I pass this club on, it continues to grow and flourish.
