Special thank you to the talented group of volunteer knitters and crocheters at the First Baptist Church in Patchogue for their recent generous donation.  We asked for lap blankets, shawls and larger sized afghans and they came through for many patients in need!

Earlier this week, Melissa Shampine received 11 bags of items from the group and she said “I can’t even tell you how taken aback  I was with all of the larger blankets and prayer shawls that we have received from the First Baptist Church!  They are so beautiful and colorful!  It’s beyond words!!!  The patients are going to absolutely love them!”

Melissa quickly distributed the items to the Bone Marrow Transplant unit (BMT), NICHE program (geriatrics), and the Dialysis Unit of the Stony Brook University Hospital.

These lovingly created items will warm the hearts of those receiving.  Very much appreciated and grateful to all.
