MD/PhD Panel Talk

This panel features Noele Certain from the PhD program in Molecular Pharmacology at Stony Brook, Amanda Russo from the graduate psychology program at Stony Brook University, and Maheetha Bharadwaj pursuing a medical degree as a second year student from Harvard Medical School. Paint Night

 Hey everyone! To destress after the first batch of midterms, we’ve decided to host a paint night. Pick up a canvas, mix some paint, and get to know members of the Neuroscience Axis! Dr. Evinger’s Presentation

Hello everyone! This week we are going to have Dr. Craig Evinger present his research on Parkinson’s disease. He will make a brief presentation followed by time for questions. Pre-Health Advising

Hello everyone! This week we will have Jennifer Hecker from the Pre-Health Advising Center join us. She will be talking to us about the importance of extracurricular activities and how being a part of an organization or team is beneficial to our future. This will be a great opportunity for people to ask her questions about how to become involved on campus and how to stand out as an applicant when applying to medical school or higher level education. If you have a hard time getting an appointment with the Pre-Health Advising center, this would be a great opportunity for you guys to ask all your questions. A Look Inside Dr. Lerner’s Lab

Hello everyone! This week were having Caroline Freden, a full time lab coordinator at Dr. Matthew Lerner’s lab in the Psychology Department. Dr. Lerner’s lab uses methods drawn from basic development, social neuroscience, developmental psychopathy, and controlled trials research to explore how basic, often novel processes impact social development. She will be talking about Dr. Lerner’s lab and what roles and responsibilities are entailed. Hope to see you guys this Wednesday 7-8 pm in Life Sciences 038!
