Work Statement
As I watched old concrete being broken down, I have been fixated on the image of its initial texture leading to my home. Now, each time I encounter the new stone, despite its smoothness, I have to walk an unnatural path and trip on my way up the stairs. As I try to compartmentalize the changes in my home environment by preserving them within the bounds of an irregularly shaped plywood, the objects around me instead only become more abstracted as the line between old and new becomes blurred.
