Critical Music Studies Professor Benjamin Tausig was a featured expert guest onThe National, the flagship news program for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation last week, to reflect on protest music in the USA and the No Kings protests.
Dr. Tausig is a scholar of music, sound, and politics in Southeast Asia. He works between music and sound studies, Asian studies, and anthropology. His recent scholarship combines ethnographic and historical approaches to the study of sound’s role in political protest and dissent.
