Congratulations to oboe DMA candidate Evan Tegley who has been awarded the position of Principal Oboe of the Great Falls Symphony in Great Falls, Montana. Evan will perform in the orchestra and as a member of the Chinook Winds, the orchestra’s resident wind quintet. Both roles have a strong focus on community engagement, reflecting the orchestra’s mission to “make Great Falls a better place through music”.
Members of the Cascade Quartet and Chinook Winds are referred to as the Great Falls Symphony’s “Core Musicians.” They form the core of the Symphony’s orchestra as section leaders and serve as the Symphony’s ambassadors, reaching out to diverse populations and far flung places throughout the region with their touring and outreach.
