Our department’s own Colin Carr is currently in Kyiv performing and raising money for The Humanity Funds. He is performing two concerts, the first on Oct 27 with the Kyiv Camerata playing Haydn C major Concerto and Bach Suite no.3 in the beautiful Santa Sophia Cathedral, the oldest church in Ukraine that has mosaics dating from the year C1000. The second will be at the Children’s Hospital Ohmatdit on Oct 28 at 11AM ET/6PM Kyiv Time.
The sole purpose of these two concerts is to raise money for the children of Ukraine who have been so seriously affected by the war. The plan is that both will be streamed, and afterwards available on a YouTube link for potential donors. The link is not up yet, but I hope to be able to provide it in the next few days.
